This is the first garment I have made for my collection. I'm so pleased with how it's turned out, i was quite dubious about quilting corduroy however I'm pleased I went through with it as it looks better than I throught it would.

Shirt design.
I wanted something quite casual but elegant and something that you would be able to move around in easily. So i opted to do a sleeveless shirt with a peter pan collar and keep the front long so that you can tie it up.

experemental design work for my collection
This is a playsuit I'm working on. I wanted to add the quilted collar as it adds a bit of interest. I will next develop the pattern piece for this by making the sleeve into a raglan one,so that the sporty element is added in. I want to use quite a heavy weight fabric for this piece so that it has a string structure to it.

New finds.
I came across this amazing vintage wesite from a freind
http://beyondretro.com
I've picked theese pieces out as It's inspiration for my own collection. They all have an element of leisure and the vintage feel is right up my street.

Inspiration and direction.
I found these images on a vintage bicycle wesite. I'd love to have this type of shoot for my own collection or If I was to advrtise my garments, I'd use this style. This kind of advertisement would work because my collection is influenced by sports therefore advertising in a more feminine active way it will represent well. Going for a civilised bikeride has positive connotations for example romantic, fun, adventurous. All things that I want my garments to uphold.
